I recently had the good fortune to have Leslee Weaks from Region 16 come observe my classroom. She is the behavior specialist at Region 16. She gave me so many ideas for classroom management. I hope I am able to use them all. The best thing so far I have implemented is the visual schedule. I took pictures of activities or found online pictures to represent them & posted them in the order we do them & then used a large arrow magneted to the white board. This completely eliminates being asked 100 times a day, What are we doing next? PLUS the kids BEG, I MEAN BEG to be the one to move the arrow. I am thinking next year it will be an assigned job. :) Sorry the pictures are not better quality! I was in a rush!
