I had a student who was having a really hard time figuring out how to blend phonemes into words. He would sound out each sound but could not put it together. For some reason this Word Work center helped it click (thankfully!). I found the printable cards here:

I have seen a lot of variations for this technique but I could not find a snake that I liked to print so I went with "Stretch It Out" and used a picture of Stretch Armstrong. I need to find an actual Stretch Armstrong to go with this center!
