A Few AWESOME garage sale finds

Okay so someone posted a garage sale on the local Buy Sale Trade Group....I drooled for at least over the pictures of some of the things!!! I was actually able to make it to the garage sale...and the goodies I wanted were still THERE!!! I got this awesome shelf- perfect for storing Daily 5 centers in an organized way. The awesome colors are just a bonus!
At a separate garage sale I found this little contraption! It is actually a candle holder! But at first glance, I knew I had finally found the home for my puppets! It works great & was only $3!!!
Cute cute cute!
Here are some of our math centers...we are still working on keeping these neat.
Here was the motherload!!!!!!! This awesome Lakeshore Sight Word rug was originally priced at $175 and promised to someone at the end of the day for that price if it didn't sell.......Late that afternoon I found out it did not sell & I got it for a whopping $100!!!!!!!! Which is a lot for a teacher but this rug is in MINT condition & NO LONGER SOLD!!!!!!! I am absolutely in love! Can you picture all the games we can make out of this?????? It is much bigger than the rug I had here so we are not nearly as cramped. :)
Here is one group about to use it for jumping w/ their dice math center. :)

Free Hanging Numbers!

Recently I  found two packages of those foam floor mats with numbers....unfortunately they both had missing pieces. But for 25 cents per package, who could complain? So I had to come up with another idea to use them...I love ceiling hangers! Here is the result! :) Love it!

Graduation

Yesterday was our last day. Looking forward to family time & getting my house in order!
We had a kindergarten class of 22 graduating. (Two kindergarten classes together). It was a lot of fun! My first year of teaching went great. I couldn't have asked for a better co-teacher. I am looking forward to next year & already have so many ideas for decorating my class! I hit a garage sale today that was selling those plastic dressers (can't think of what they are called). Anyway, they are great for storage. They had them marked $8, $10, & $7. I offered $5 for three of them & she said yes. Woo hoo! I also got quite a deal on a bunk bed frame that has openings to climb through & a built in ladder thing. It has a rainbow painted on it with clouds. It is adorable! It was priced $40 & she let me pay $20.  I am going to take it apart partially & build a reading nook in my classroom. I'm so excited! The kids will love it! I will take pictures as soon as I make it back up to my classroom. Makes me want to bring back my class from this year just to show them. I live about 40 miles from where I teach. AND of course I didn't have my camera with me & my phone was dead.
